Edit: OH my goodness! I have massively got out of the habit of writing. And what was a few days behind has turned into weeks! I think its a bit of a result of anxiety and worry sometimes, is that you fail miss a day and lose momentum and think you have ruined it. But I’m back and trying to get back in the swing. So…possibly prepare yourselves for an onslaught of past posts (I will date them for clarity)
Week commencing 12th August 2019.
Ended up being a surprisingly busy week with no time for writing.
Monday I had a trial personal training session which started with lots of questions about my life, how I was feeling, where I wanted to be, what change I wanted to make and…I cried. Such a dafty and a bit embarrassing but she was brilliant and says she totally changed her life and career and now does fitness full time and works on inspiring and building up women so I felt really positive about itand am really looking forward to working with her (shoutout @bodyinventor_hunterpersonalfit).
Tuesday I had my nails done (for free) and then had a counselling appointment. On my way home I ran into a friend I hadn’t seen for ages and we ended up talking on the tube platform for about 40 minutes and making plans to meet again in a couple of weeks. I always find it so amazing that you can run into people you know in London. I’m no mathematician but I always think the chances of it happening must be so small!
Wednesday was dinner party day (more on that next post)
Thursday I was at a talk on London’s waterways and reconnecting with nature
Friday I was in Oxford all day for my friend’s last day before she moves to Australia. This girl has been an incredible, positive, encouraging force in my life and I don’t know what I would have done this year without her and her husband. I can’t say enough about what an amazing woman she is. Saying goodbye to her was super hard but I am already looking at dates to visit them both in the new year. Australia baby!

It was such a lovely day out full of food, laughter, rain and some tears (alright, many from me). We went to museums, crazy golf, wine and dinner. What a day!

Saturday and Sunday I was in Brighton to visit my friend Laura and for another friend’s leaving drinks before she moves up north to be amazing and train to be a vicar. Everyone is leaving me 😦

Even though it was a difficult week saying goodbye and running all over the place, the overwhelming feeling was how lucky I am to have such kind, supportive and beautiful people in my life.
I’m so happy you see the silver lining to such difficulties! Having a great support system is everything!
